A remarkably creative, helpful and enjoyable book for a dull subject.

I'm only one forth of the way through this book but am already finding it extremely helpful, and have implemented some of the authors suggestions in my adwords accounts. I have been using adwords for about 4 years.

Google will tell you everything you want to know about how to use all the technical features in adwords. But they don't tell you what the best marketing strategies are for using them. The author explains the psychology of search, the "marketing funnel" and defining goals when choosing your keywords. Which keyword match types to use, when to use them, and how to bid. How to write effective and compelling ads and align these with your keywords, adgroups and landing pages. Tips for ad copy that gets clicks, how to use mobile ads and extensions ect. (and this is only up to chapter 4)

In spite of the fact that this book is about adwords and because of that has the potential to be horrifically dull, it is so well written it is actually enjoyable to read. It is thorough, detailed and carefully organized. Creative and smart marketing + Adwords.

I love this book and highly recommend it.

(I'd also like to add this is not just about marketing, the author includes and thoroughly explains all the technical information about setting up and using adwords.)

The book you need to advance your knowledge & skill in Google adwords

Best book regarding this topic. My knowledge and skill on adWords is really upgraded to another level. Very thorough and easy to follow explanation. Readers should have some basic knowledge about AdWords before starting this book, this book explains not only what to do but also why you do it (the logic behind google adwords), it helps establishing a very good foundation about google adwords and how to expand from there. I bought the kindle version first, and then decided to buy the paper book for easy reference.

This is THE definitive Google AdWords book. I call it the AdWords bible.

This book is NOT for beginners, so buyer beware. You should have a basic understanding and some experience managing an AdWords account.

Having said that, this book thoroughly and systematically covers everything involved in creating, maintaining and growing a successful AdWords account using the Search, Display & Remarketing platforms.

I have to make a direct comparison to someone who many would consider one of Brad Geddes only other "competitor" in the AdWords education market: Perry Marshall.

In my humble opinion, Perry's website, videos and recent AdWords book is geared more towards the "Internet Marketer" who is trying to make a living simply by some variation of affiliate marketing and/or niche marketing. And that's where the difference between Brad Geddess and this book vary so much with Perry's. Brad's book seems to be more of a no hype, no fluff, straight to the point AdWords manual for ANYONE who is interested in learning more.

I can't say enough, this book is all you really need to become an AdWords advanced user on your path to becoming an expert.

The Authority on Scarlatti

Harpsicordist and musicologist Ralph Kirkpatrick's Domenico Scarlatti has been the work that all the encyclopedia's quote when speaking of Domenico Scarlatti. It was extremely well researched, and I beleive that when he says there's "no known information" about something he looked long and hard for it. The book is informative without being to technical. It is the authority on Dominico Scarlatti's life and body of work. If you are a pianist and especially if you play his sonatas, it is well worth reading.

The first 7 chapters are historical narratives without unusual merit except as an intoduction to the real book which is about music. There is a chapter on harpsichords. Kirkpatrick was not the first thinker on Scarlatti as evidenced by the extensive bibliography and appendix
He did establish the K identification number system which has stood the test of time at least in this country.
His real contribution is in identifying Scarlatti as a real musician writing music of extraordinary merit. His chapter on Scarlatti's harmony is very difficult reading.
The last chapter on "Performance of the Scarlatti Sonatas" should be read again and again by every musical teacher and student (he talks about tempo, rhythm, phrasing, articulation and attitudes).
Of course, one must have the sheet music on hand to see what it's all about, and a mind-set ready to accept Scarlatti into the company of Chopin and Liszt as well as Granados and Alb�niz.
Kirkpatrick talks a little about the influence of Iberian song and dance forms on the sonatas of Scarlatti; a few others have scattered hints on this subject. I think the world would welcome a full-blown research here as a fitting sequel to this book.

Ralph Kirkpatrick's 1953 work remains THE book on Domenico Scarlatti and his keyboard sonatas. There have been no substantial revisions in the biography of DS since 1953. Georgio Pestelli and many others have questioned Kirkpatrick on chronology, but when it comes to analysis of individual sonatas, Kirkpatrick is strong. And his performances speak well even 50 years later. Kirkpatrick was not a musicologist, so his book is actually interesting to read!

A sequel worth the wait.

A truly great sequel that was worth the wait. If you've read Anything but Vanilla, you will really want to read Anything but Ordinary and if you haven't then go find Anything but Vanilla and read it first than come back and read Anything but Ordinary. You won't regret it. Madelynne Ellis is a very talented author who tells a great tale and entertains spectacularly.

This sequel was well worth the wait!

The very first Madelynne Ellis book I read was Anything but Vanilla and I became an instant fan. I have been waiting on baited breath since I found out she was working on a sequel and Anything but Ordinary did not disappoint me! As the book begins, Ric is still not being open and honest about his feelings which is causing strain on the relationship the three are trying to navigate. Things come to a head when Kara's brother turns up unexpectedly at a very inopportune time. He does not take the revelation that Kara, Ric and Zach are in a menage relationship well. His vocal displeasure and concerns soon make Kara question how solid her part in the relationship is (it is really a three-way relationship or is she simply an extra being added to the relationship of Ric and Zach). It isn't long before her worries and Ric's lack of openness lead to them breaking up. Will they find a way back to each other or are they doomed to spend the rest of their lives apart, despite their strong feelings for each other? Ric, Zach and Kara were as enjoyable to read in this sequel as they were in the first book. It was wonderful getting to spend more time with these three fabulous, complex and interesting characters. Ellis also gave us more steamy love scenes like the ones that were such a big part of the first book. In fact, I think these three were even hotter this time around!

After Ric’s horrible marriage he isn’t looking for a commitment and a no strings relationship with Zach and Kara seems to be a wonderful idea. However, Ric isn’t being completely honest with Zach and Kara and isn’t sure how she fits into this relationship. The story is a roller coaster ride of emotion. The sex is of the charts hot. An excellent read!
